Our most popular Northwest exhibit 10 years running. Cold blooded fun at its finest, this exhibit showcases a variety of animals from around the world. Interact with some of the world's most fascinating and unusual creatures. See, touch and learn about captive-raised reptiles, amphibians and arthropods from the near and far places of our world. Science artifacts, nature videos, hatching snake eggs, parrots, and even an alligator are included in this unique exhibit.
Rainforest Experience
Enter the lush world of the rainforest where the planet's most fantastic and unusual animals reveal their secrets. A wild and tropical exhibit featuring our most amazing rainforest animals in free-standing natural enclosures. Among the curious and intriguing animals you'll experience will be the world's largest snake, the anaconda; a 100-year-old alligator snapping turtle; and parrots in a rainbow of colors. These are only a few of the creatures you'll find in the rainforest experience.
Wild and Dangerous Desert
The desert is an extreme environment and demands extreme adaptations to survive. This exhibit gets visitors up close and personal with some of our planet's most fascinating desert reptiles, arachnids, and amphibians. We feature over a dozen species of venomous snakes and the gila monster, one of only two species of venomous lizards on Earth. Visitors will be able to touch large tortoises in their free-roaming yards. They'll meet a variety of tarantulas and giant scorpions in natural enclosures. Even arid-land amphibians will be on display.
Wild Wild Tour
This is a wild and interactive exhibit featuring our most amazing animals from the tropics, temperate zones, and arid regions of our planet. Walk through a tropical rainforest with giant green anacondas swimming in their pool, then look up to see green tree pythons lazily draped over branches, while tokay geckos echo their enchanting call through the forest. Then meander into the temperate zone where blue-tongued skinks and legless lizards are waiting, with a variety of turtles and amphibians, some poisonous, nearby. Passing into the arid region you'll find the venomous gila monster, several species of rattlesnakes, and a variety of beautifully colored kingsnakes.
